Shelley Fox, one of Britain's most foremost conceptual fashion designers, has launched her new show 'Negative' as part of London Fashion Week. The show, featuring an elegant collection of sharp architectural and sumptuously draped dresses, was filmed exclusively by Tiscali and will go live to view at www.tiscali.co.uk today.
'Negative', was inspired from the "other worldliness" that old glass negative images create. Watching the spectacle unfold in a highly original way, spectators stood outside a giant glass facade on Northburgh Street, London. Models posed as mannequins, displayed angular tailoring, paired with backless tops and jersey layered fronts. Strong lighting and ghostly music composed by Scanner, contributed to dramatically contrasting London night sky - making the webcast a uniquely striking proposition.
This is the first time Tiscali UK has sponsored and webcast a fashion designer, although its support for upcoming and emerging talent in music and film is well established. Richard Ayers, Editor of www.tiscali.co.uk says: "High fashion has a huge following, but is seriously under exposed in the UK. We think the Tiscali audience will find the Shelley Fox show fascinating."
Last year, the Tiscali Showcase was launched, highlighting the best in upcoming and emerging bands and Tiscali was also the first Internet company in the world to simultaneously premier a film in the cinema and via the Internet with the Raindance award-winning feature film EMR.
