Tiscali Press Release - Tiscali Partners with Freedom Communications to deliver IPVPN and HomeWorker solutions to the Retail and Public sectors

Tiscali announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with independent value-added reseller Freedom Communications to deliver Tiscali's Broadband and HomeWorker solutions to mid-size organisations in the retail and local government sectors.

Freedom Communications is an independent value added reseller of telecommunication services. Specialising in providing tailored voice - and now data - customer contact solutions to both established enterprises and rapidly-growing businesses particularly in the retail and public sectors. Its solutions are built around leading communications technology from Alcatel - for whom Freedom have been the UK's number one reseller for many years.

One of the services that Freedom Communications will be reselling is HomeWorker, the solution from Tiscali that provides teleworkers with direct access to Tiscali's own private IP network via any standard DSL broadband connection, enabling any-to-any, business-class, reliable connectivity. At a starting cost of £50 a month per teleworker, this provides remote workers with the same private network connectivity that traditionally was only viable for large corporate sites.

The public sector is leading the charge for homeworking and, as such, needs a secure and cost effective solution to connect it's teleworkers to it's network.
