TENS OF THOUSANDS OF WEB WATCHERS LOG ON TO TISCALI MICROSITE TO SEE EXCLUSIVE SETS FROM RAZORLIGHT AND MORE

Hundreds of fans, guests and VIPs mobbed the Tiscali VIP Sessions Tent at the 2005 Carling Weekend: Reading Festival hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite bands performing exclusively for Tiscali UK. Situated in the VIP hospitality area, backstage at the festival, the Tiscali VIP Sessions Tent hosted no less than 17 exclusive sets from some of the hottest bands on this year's line-up along with some surprise, last minute appearances also taking place.

Proving to be the most popular of the weekend were Funeral For A Friend who performed a rare acoustic set, Echo & The Bunnymen and The Futureheads, who created mass hysteria when they dropped into the tent on Sunday afternoon. Also mobbed were Charlie Simpson's Fightstar and The Subways, who commented that their Tiscali Session Tent gig was better than their NME/Radio 1 stage set.

Watched by Foo Fighter Dave Grohl no less, ex-Queens Of The Stone Age bassist, Nick Oliveri, dropped in with his Mondo Generator cohorts to join forces with Winnebago Deal's two Ben's and rock the socks off the Tiscali Sessions Tent in the first of the weekends surprise performances. Current indie rock darlings The Rakes were the second to make a surprise appearance and Dogs proved to be a hot late addition to Saturday's bill.

As well as running the uber-exclusive Tiscali Sessions Tent, Tiscali UK also web cast from the Carling Weekend Reading Festival's main stage across the weekend. Exceeding all expectations, the Tiscali UK web cast attracted a staggering audience in excess of 80,000 viewers. Live streamed sets from some of the weekends top acts including Goldie Lookin' Chain, Iggy & The Stooges, Funeral For A Friend and The Charlatans.

RAZORLIGHT EXCLUSIVE

Following the success of their performance at Reading, TISCALI UK will broadcast the band's entire Reading set, kicking off on Wednesday 7 September at 7pm and then at the same time every day for the next 28 days.

TISCALI SESSIONS VIP SCREENING

TISCALI UK will be hosting a very special screening evening for the guys that rocked up and supported us at this year's Reading Festival. As well as laying on drinks and nibbles, you are invited to join us to review tracks from the amazing sessions that happened exclusively backstage at Reading. The screening will take place on Wednesday 14 September at the Covent Garden Hotel. A formal invitation will be sent to media and industry VIPs shortly.

To coincide with this very special screening, the Tiscali Sessions will be launched on www.tiscali.co.uk/reading on Thursday 15 September. The first batch of sessions to go live will include the exclusive sets from The Subways (three tracks), Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (three tracks) and Echo & The Bunnymen (four tracks).
