Tiscali, one of the UK's leading broadband providers and official online partner for the 2005 Carling Weekend: Reading Festival, is proud to announce the first clutch of acts confirmed to appear in the exclusive Tiscali VIP Sessions Tent at this years Reading festival. Already shaping up to be an outstanding line-up, Tiscali's exclusive Sessions Tent has already attracted live sets from Sunderland's chart-friendly art rockers THE FUTUREHEADS, NME darlings and latest wave of indie rock cherubs THE RAKES and THE CRIBS, visceral punk pop toddlers THE SUBWAYS, who hail from the unlikely Welwyn Garden City and none-other-than British hip hop's most explosive lyrical poet ROOTS MANUVA from the festival line-up.

Fresh from their appearances at the tiscali.showcase gigs in London's Islington Academy, two of the UK's most promising rock upstarts have also been confirmed to appear in the exclusive Tiscali Session Tent. Indie rock pin-ups THE ALPS, who have been making waves with their angular punk tinged indie rock n' roll and FLEEING NEW YORK whose classic movie drive-in rock will be all over the radio in no time.

Situated in the VIP hospitality area, backstage at the festival the Tiscali Sessions tent will host some of the hottest bands and performers from this year's sensational line-up as well as a number of bands from the tiscali.showcase nights hosted at London's Islington Academy. With up to 21 bands and exciting collaborations set to play exclusive one-off sets across the three days.
