Tiscali Press Release - AND THE MUSIC KEEPS ON COMING...Tiscali Celebrates 10th Music Showcase

For those lucky enough to have made the last one, and for those unlucky few that missed it, there's good news all round.....this Friday 20th May sees the return of the TISCALI SHOWCASE.

The 10th Showcase takes place at the usual venue - The Bar Academy, Islington and is sure to be another rocking night of the best in emerging musical talent.

THE SHAKES (www.theshakesmusic.com) a tried and tested formula - so good last time we invited them back for an encore. The S.E. London five piece band is sure to thrash out catchy tunes and sharp lyrics - ready to light the blue touch-paper for what will be an amazing night of music.

And , also supporting the headline act, Tiscali are proud to present LA TOUR (www.protestrecordings.com), a stylist, Swedish, sextet developing under the watchful production eyes of John Moon (who has worked with Sting, Ms Dynamite to name a few). Spanning the divide between 80s electronica and post-millennial digital era, joining the dots with a hint of pop brilliance and soaring vocals they are a headline act in their own right. Their luminescent live shows aren't afraid to pervert your musical preconceptions with an innovativeness Ikea are yet to stumble across.

Headlining the night, THE TENDERFOOT (www.thetenderfoot.co.uk) - your ears are going to be in for a treat, for they will experience an evolution in sound. Signed to Sony/BMG, this alternative country clash with punk to bring to you punktry.....a new genre I hear you cry - well be there to witness the birth. Self described as "Americana with symphonic vignettes which portray their English sound" has endeared them to their adoring crowd.

And that's not all, a specially announced fourth act will open the show at 19.30 - well it is the 10th showcase! CINIMO - who are no strangers to the Tiscali Showcase with their debut night in December, will kick off the night with their indie sounds. This four piece band employs a ramshackle approach to their stage set-up, but when it comes to music, they're no slouches - their songs manage to stem the spectrum of emotions for all to relate to - one band not to be missed, and an ideal act to set the tone for the night.
