Tiscali Press Release - TISCALI TO WEBCAST '46664 SOUTH AFRICA' CONCERT

Tiscali UK has renewed its commitment to supporting Nelson Mandela's 46664 Aids charity with the live webcast of its second concert '46664 SOUTH AFRICA' on 19 March from 2pm GMT at www.tiscali.co.uk/46664 .

This follows the overwhelming success of the first event in November 2003, when Tiscali was part of an initiative which brought together all the major Internet providers across the world, to create the largest joint, charity web event ever. This month, not only will Tiscali webcast the event exclusively in the UK and across four major European countries, it will also provide the streaming feed to 12 other web companies around the world.

Will Smith headlines

This years concert is taking place at Fancourt, George, South Africa is one not to be missed, with international film and music star Will Smith performing and acting as Master of Ceremonies.

Female artists deliver this year's 'Empowering Women' message

Along with 46664 veterans Queen and Dave Stewart, there is a strong female line-up of artists including Katie Melua, Annie Lennox, India Aria and as an added bonus Mrs Smith, Jada Pinkett, will perform with her band 'Wicked Wisdom'.

Also showcasing their talent will be some of South Africa's most prominent musicians, Mafikizolo, Mandoza, Black Sunshine and Karen Zoid among others.

From next week, Tiscali UK will be building up to the event, with a dedicated channel www.tiscali.co.uk/46664 and afterwards, the full concert or fully indexed excerpts and artist performances can be viewed exclusively from Tiscali UK for 90 days.

Last year, a sell-out crowd of over 40,000 witnessed the four and a half hour concert live, the highlights of which were then heard or seen by an estimated record 2 billion people globally.
