Tiscali Press Release - SLIDE INTO A ROCKING WEEKEND AT THE TISCALI SHOWCASE

Friday 21st January at the Bar Academy, Islington sees the rock revolution still charging its way through the London music scene with the first Tiscali Showcase of 2005.

If it's edgy and loud guitar rock you're after, look no further. After being signed by Double Dragon Records, WINNEBAGO DEAL crash back onto the London scene once again by rocking out the top music venue in London. With their mix of "stoner, punk and bar-room rock", the band received rave reviews by NME, Time Out and Metro last year. Their latest single, titled "Cobra" has also been awarded four out of five stars by The Independent newspaper.

Turning up the heat for the evening, effortlessly cool rock band, THE SLIDES support the show. Witty, catchy lyrics and funky riffs make this is a band to watch out for. Hot on the heels of signing their management deal with Avalon Music Management, MY LUMINARIES kick start the show. Not since Franz Ferdinand has a band been able to make you dance quite so much as these cool, leather clad rockers. Having played sets on both XFM and BBC ONE MUSIC, the BBC's Linda Serck rightly suggests "catch them on a small stage now before you need binoculars to see them".
