A campaign group with thousands of members is set to challenge London mayoral candidates with a "Citizens' Agenda" covering issues including crime, housing and immigration.
The document will be put before Ken Livingstone, Boris Johnson, Brian Paddick and Sian Berry at a public meeting.
The agenda includes requests for a wage boost for poorly paid workers, particularly in hotels and restaurants, and plans for affordable housing.
London Citizens' spokesman Stefan Baskerville said: "We want to get the mayor to re-define what it means to say 'affordable housing'.
"The term is bandied about but our research has shown that it's not affordable for people on a living wage.
"The mayor's office should calculate how much housing should cost if it's going to be affordable to someone on a living wage."
