ATHENS (Reuters) - Panathinaikos midfielder Sotiris Ninis has been included in Greece’s squad for the friendly against Slovakia in Bratislava on Saturday.

The 18-year-old, who made a scoring debut for Greece before being left out of the Euro 2008 squad, takes the place of Stelios Giannakopoulos who is still without a team after being released by Bolton at the end of last season.

Also missing from the Euro squad are goalkeeper Antonis Nikopolidis and centre-back Paraskevas Antzas who both announced their retirement during the tournament.

Greece, as defending champions, failed to win a single point and scored only a solitary goal at Euro 2008.

Coach Otto Rehhagel has only named two goalkeepers while new Genoa signing Sotiris Papastathopoulos comes in at centre-back.

Greece will open their World Cup qualifying campaign against Luxembourg on September6.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Konstantinos Chalkias (PAOK), Alexandros Tziorvas (OFI).

Defenders: Giourkas Seitaridis (Atletico Madrid), Sokratis Papastathopoulos (Genoa), Traianos Dellas (Anorthosis Famagusta), Vassilis Torosidis, Christos Patsatzoglou, Avraam Papadopoulos (all Olympiakos Piraeus), Sotiris Kyrgiakos (AEK Athens), Loukas Vyntra (Panathinaikos), Nikos Spiropoulos (both Panathinaikos)
