LONDON (Reuters) - "The Incredible Hulk" stormed to the top of the UK box office in its first week, toppling the New York girls from "Sex and the City", Screen International said on Wednesday.
The latest "Hulk" film, starring Edward Norton as the scientist who turns into a snarling green monster, made 3.3 million pounds in the first three days after its release.
"Sex and the City" slipped to second place after two weeks at the top.
The film version of the hit TV series, featuring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, took a further 1.8 million pounds for a three-week total of 20.3 million pounds.
In third place was "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", with Harrison Ford back in the title role after nearly two decades. It also took 1.8 million pounds, bringing its month-long total to 35.6 million pounds.
In fourth place was "The Happening", a new thriller starring Mark Wahlberg which has garnered mostly negative reviews. It took 1.6 million pounds.
Spoof comedy "Superhero Movie", starring Leslie Nielsen and Pamela Anderson, fell two places to fifth.
Crime drama "Gone Baby Gone", directed by Ben Affleck, slipped one place to sixth, while horror film "Prom Night" fell three spots to seventh.

Comic book adaptation "Iron Man" fell two places to ninth, while the Genghis Khan drama "Mongol" completed the top 10.
