"Sweeney Todd," Depp win Globes for film musical
Enlarge imageBEVERLY HILLS (Reuters) - "Sweeney Todd," a movie musical about a vengeance-seeking barber, and actor Johnny Depp won key Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.
"Sweeney Todd" was named best film comedy or musical, and Depp won the award for best actor in a musical for his role as the serial killer barber in the same movie.
The Golden Globe Awards are given by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and are a key stop on the road to Oscars, the world’s top film honours, which are handed out in February by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
