Wales centre Henson suffers broken hand
Enlarge imageLONDON (Reuters) - Wales centre Gavin Henson will be sidelined for four to six weeks after suffering a broken hand in the Ospreys victory over Harlequins last week.
Henson, who returned to the international fold last month against South Africa after missing the World Cup, has fractured the fourth metacarpal in his left hand, the Ospreys Web site (www.ospreysrugby.com) said on Thursday.
"After medical consideration it has been decided that Gavin will not be able to take the field for four to six weeks," Ospreys director of rugby Kevin Hopkins said.
"Gavin’s long term well-being is best served by him getting the hand properly sorted over the next few weeks."
Despite scoring 19 points in his side’s impressive victory over Harlequins it has not been a good week for Henson, who starred in his country’s 2005 Six Nations Grand Slam.
On Tuesday the Ospreys said they were investigating an incident on a train in which Henson and a group of friends were reported by fellow passengers for rowdy behaviour.
