LF-Ch

Frankfurt
will see the world premiere of the LF-Ch, the new full hybrid premium 5-door
compact concept, with electric-only driving capability. More information will
be released on 10 September.

Toyota Prius
Plug-in Hybrid Concept

Making its
world premiere in Frankfurt, the Prius Plug-in Hybrid allows pure electric
operation for short-range day-to-day driving. In early 2010, an extensive field
trial in Europe will see over 150 units being leased to selected fleet
customers.

Toyota
Auris HSD Full Hybrid Concept

The Auris
hybrid is the first time that Toyota’s full hybrid technology has been applied
to a mainstream model, and is the initial step in the rolling out of Hybrid
Synergy Drive across the company’s model range.

BMW 320d
EfficientDynamics Saloon
The new 320d
saloon will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. BMW has managed to lower
its emissions to 109g/km CO2, which equates to 68.9mpg.

ActiveHybrid X6

The full
hybrid ActiveHybrid X6 is BMW’s first full hybrid and it promises a 20%
reduction in fuel consumption. It has a 400 hp (twin-turbocharged V8 petrol
engine and two electric motors.

ActiveHybrid 7

The
ActiveHybrid 7 will also make its world premiere at the Frankfurt Show. The
ActiveHybrid 7 is a mild-hybrid application, and offers approximately a 15%
reduction in fuel consumption from its V8 engine with an electric motor
providing a combined output of 455 hp.

Peugeot
3008 HYbrid4
Peugeot will
show two diesel hybrid concepts at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The 3008 HYbrid4
is set to emit 99g/km CO2 and is due for launch in the spring of 2011.

Peugeot
RCZ HYbrid4

The RCZ
HYbrid4 2+2 coupé is due to emit just 95g/km CO2 but is experimental only.
However the non-hybrid RCZ 2+2 coupé is due on sale in the spring of 2010.

Citroën
DS3
The new DS3,
the first model from Citroën’s brand new DS line, will be unveiled at the
Frankfurt Motor Show, and one variant will emit just 99g/km CO2.

Audi A3
1.2 TFSI

Who would have
thought that an Audi A3 would come with a 1.2 litre engine, but that is exactly
what the company is introducing in the form of the Audi A3 and A3 Sportback 1.2
TFSI. Designed from scratch, the new 1.2 TFSI generates 105PS but returns
51.3mpg thanks to a combination of turbocharging and direct petrol injection.
