Actress ANNE HECHE has signed up to join PUNK'D star ASHTON KUTCHER in the romantic comedy SPREAD - after JENNIFER JASON LEIGH quit the movie.

The Men In Trees star will feature alongside Kutcher - who plays a serial womaniser - replacing Leigh, who dropped out of the project last month (Feb08) for undisclosed reasons.

However, recent news reports have suggested the reason for the walk-out is because Leigh and her husband, Margot At The Wedding director Noah Baumbach, are expecting a child.

With only a minor glitch in the recasting, director David Mackenzie will resume production again this week (begs3Mar08). (CAM/WNWR/MJ)
