Actress LINDSAY LOHAN is desperate to work with director TIM BURTON on his big screen adaptation of Alice In Wonderland - branding herself as the "ideal" candidate for the lead role.
The Mean Girls star is vying to land the sought-after part of Alice in the Lewis Carroll classic in a bid to revive her flagging career - and she hopes her public enthusiasm for the role will persuade movie maverick Burton to recruit her.
The 21-year-old's career has suffered a downturn after a spell in rehab last year (07), following two DUI incidents which resulted in a brief stint in jail.
Lohan is also up for four Razzie Awards this year (08) - the mock Oscars ceremony that rewards bad movies and performances - including two nominations for worst actress in the same production, I Know Who Killed Me, in which she plays twins.
Lohan says, "I hope they don't give it to an unknown. I'm ideal. I could really do it justice. I've been down the role." (MJ/WNTST/TN)
