Harrelson confirms cruz is dating bardem

JAVIER BARDEM was left red-faced after his NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN co-star WOODY HARRELSON told the waiting press he has a new girlfriend - Hollywood beauty PENELOPE CRUZ.

Harrelson was presenting Bardem with the Montecito Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Tuesday (29Jan08), when he revealed the Spanish actor is dating Cruz.

He told waiting reporters, "I can't believe the luck Javier has. If you look at his biography - one page is just describing his journey, and then the second page is all of the awards he's won.

"And not to mention, I found this out last night too - he's going out with Penelope Cruz!"

Cruz has previously dodged questions about her romance with Bardem - even though the couple were photographed cuddling on a beach last summer (07).

She said at the time, "It's not true. He's a friend and the best actor in the world." (LJ/WNWCCTR/JC)
