Travel update: The hand luggage are now as follows:
One small item of hand baggage per person is now allowed on board. This could either consist of a handbag or a small item of carry on luggage of a maximum size: 45cm (length) x 35cm (width) x 16cm (depth) (17.7"x13.7"x6.2").
Laptops will be allowed on board but these must be screened seperately. On flights to America, laptops must be packed in a clear plastic bag.
Mobile phones are also allowed on board again.
NO liquids will be allowed on board, with the exception of baby milk.
No cosmetics such as lipsticks are allowed. No sunscreen or deodrants.
Passengers are warned to still expect delays as searches of hand luggage and of passenger clothing will be carried out.
Flight changes:
BAA has asked all airlines to cut their flights to and from Heathrow by 20 percent to allow them to cope with the extra security checks.
This is resulting in cancelled and delayed flights. Please check with your airline before setting out for Heathrow.
