GLOUCESTER, UNITED KINGDOM - Dario, the first migrating Siberian Swan to arrive at Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, flaps his wings on October 23 2007 in Gloucestershire, England. Dario, a Bewick swan and the smallest type of swan in the UK, has been coming to Slimbridge every winter since 1999 - and with his mate, Dorcus, since 2002. It is thought that an icy blast of cold air blowing in from Siberia and heading to Britain, caused them to leave and fly west. Experts have warned that the sudden arrival of the birds the first migrating Siberian swans means Britain is in for a harsh winter. (Photo by Matt Cardy/Getty Images)
