Following in the footsteps of bands such as Coldplay, Muse, Idlewild, Badly Drawn Boy; and The Subways - The Mad Staring Eyes have emerged from 1600 bands to receive a coveted spot on the John Peel Stage at the Glastonbury Festival June 25th The John Peel Stage, which began as the 'New Stage' in 1998 to promote new artists, is where many of the biggest acts in the UK have been discovered.
The Mad Staring Eyes wowed the audience on March 19th with their energetic live show and beat out five other bands for the coveted Glastonbury gig.
The four piece North London band has been playing around London in support of their newly released single 'Crazy' and recording their new album.
The four piece band from North London are front man Alex Jay on lead vocals and guitars, bassist Dan Lee, Oli Darley on drums, and Jake Hirsch on the Fender Rhodes.
