It would be difficult to find an online company more on the ball with the digital music revolution. Tiscali started backing new & emerging acts with online support, coverage and downloads as far back as September 2004. Many digital services have followed suit, none have notoriety as strong for helping to break major acts – such as The Subways, Orson, We Are Scientists, The Rakes & The Crimea.

Tiscali Showcase, itself, is a monthly event taking place in London and featuring three emerging acts at each show. Performances from the show are played out online on www.tiscali.co.uk exactly one week later. Over the last 18 months, over 200 tracks have been made available to view online at Tiscali from the featured acts. In the spirit of the new digital world, Tiscali is releasing 16 of the best tracks from acts who have played the show on June 5th 2006.

Of these 16 unsigned tracks, top tips include Rebus and their single "Daylight Fading" which was XFM play listed, Four Day Hombre, who founded their own record label to release their single and album and received notable MTV coverage for their incredible videos and Gliss, who after playing Tiscali showcase were subsequently taken on European tour with Editors – Gliss' featured track, "Blue Sky" was the recent single of the week on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show.

In August 2005, Tiscali took 3 of their favourite showcase acts to the Reading Festival and gave them the opportunity to play alongside acts such as The Futureheads, Graham Coxon & Roots Manuva. Those 3 acts - The Suffrajets, The Alps & Fleeing New York are featured in the compilation with 3 of their single releases – all of which subsequently received Radio 1 airplay coverage.

Tiscali Showcase – Volume 1, presents the best in emerging, signed & unsigned talent around. Acts who are utilising the new digital age to it's fullest effect and moving from bedroom to stardom by engaging with fans online. Come join the digital revolution.
