Tiscali Showcase - Sam Isaac

Sam Isaac played a special London Tiscali Showcase at the Soho Revue Bar London, on December 12th 2007.

The Sam Isaac show frequently resembles an indie cottage industry. Friends make artwork, do recording, direct music videos and carry clipboards. Perfect strangers sell his CDs. Sam's part of the bargain is donning an acoustic guitar and making the music that is at the centre of all of this.

Influenced by Ed Harcourt, Liam Frost and Bright Eyes, Sam Isaac sings epic acoustic songs backed by piano, cello or sometimes a full band. One of the hardest working artists in the UK, Sam plays anywhere. From venues across the country to many fans' living rooms, Sam has played well over 100 shows so far in 2007.

Twenty-one-year-old Sam grew up in the sleepy town of Malvern in the West Midlands before moving to East London in 2005. Sam has self-released two mini albums, including the Sticker, Star and Tape mini-album in January 2007. Both received glowing reviews and national radio play on Radio 1, Radio 2 and XFM, and helped Sam score a session for Janice Long on Radio 2 in May.

In April Sam released a split 10" single with Luke Leighfield on Mannequin Republic - the new label of Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly's Sam Duckworth. The summer of 2007 will see Sam continue his touring and playing at several festivals across the country, including, Glastonbury, Latitude, Wireless, Great Escape Festival, 2000 Trees and a slot at Truck.
