In their own words:
From East London via various continents, consisting of 5 human males S.ROCK have been described as new wave, art punk, post grunge, krelk rock & several others. Their first recording was featured on a (quickly sold out) FIERCE PANDA e.p."On The Buzzes", last summer, which the NME described as "rock n' roll clatter that's making London exciting again".
They were also invited personally by TOM VEK to support on his UK tour, and picked as the only completely unsigned UK act to play SXSW in texas last year. They've also played with The Rakes, Art Brut, !!!, 80's Matchbox Beeline Disaster, Pinback and lotsa others.
Duel guitars, poundin drums, hard groove bass and freakout vox; their shows are upfront and juicy. As to the sound; think the compulsive songsmithery of the Pixies and Joy Division and the wry dementia of Talking Heads.
They are named after a doctor of neuroscience from the University of Colorado and are deeply, deeply in love with him. S. Rock Levinson are unsigned, but not for long!
