Formerly known as Laurel, produced by Jon Moon (a man who has worked with such musical luminaries as Ms Dynamite, Ray Charles and Sting), Swedish sextet La Tour mix folk-tinged melodies with humdinging house atmopsherics, spanning the divide between 80s electronica and the post-millennial digital era and joining the dots with a hint of pop brilliance and melting vocals that can't fail to touch even the most callous soul.
Anyone who's been fortunate enough to witness La Tour's luminescent live shows will know that they're one of those rare bands who aren't afraid to pervert your musical preconceptions with a startlingly innovative blend of styles - an approach that should endear them to anyone with ears and an open mind.
