"I ain't gonna look the other way... I ain't gonna wait to see the rain... Look at me 'cos I Choose Life. These are some of the powerful statements taken from 'I Choose Life,' the uplifting new single from young British star Keisha White. 'I Choose Life' is set for release on Monday 18th September 2006 and is the third single taken from Keisha's critically acclaimed album 'Out Of My Hands'.
'Out Of My Hands' is a twelve-track collection of music which has clearly taken time, passion and sheer devotion from Keisha who wanted to get it just right. The album has already been attracting a string of support from key tastemakers such as GCap, Capital FM, GWR, MTV, The Box and Kiss FM. The UK's biggest station, Radio 2, immediately A-listed the albums catchy second release 'Don't Mistake Me' following the success of its leading single 'The Weakness In Me".
The single currently stands in the Top 10 UK Airplay singles.
Recorded in London alongside the world renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, 'I Choose Life' sees Keisha's wonderful honey-drenched voice come completely alive. "Lyrically it's such a powerful track. I knew that my job was to simply get the message across vocally" she says. The video was filmed by in-demand video director Phil Griffin who has worked with some of the UK's biggest stars such as Basement Jaxx, Sugababes, and McFly. It features Keisha as the lady of an English country manor house who longs to be freed from the controlled life she has. "Working with Phil was amazing! He has such a great eye for detail and I'm sure my fans will be happy with the result."
Keisha is involved in a number of initiatives and charities aimed to empower young people and recently performed at a festival organised by the borough of Camden titled 'One Year On United and Strong'. This was an event held at Russell Square Gardens aimed to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the July 7 terrorist attacks on the city of London. "It felt so good to be part of an event that was all about turning a place of trauma into a place of healing, hope and unity. Performing 'I Choose Life' really showed me how significant the strength of that song could be".
