Johnny Panic are Rob Solly, 24 (Vocals, guitar), Matt James, 22 (Guitar, vocals), Nash Francis, 23 (Bass, vocals), Johnny Shock, 23 (Drums).
They formed in East London three years ago taking the glut of musical mediocrity as their inspiration to raise the bar, armed with an arsenal of pop-rocking grooves and super charged with a dose of social commentary.
Their album The Violent Dazzling (released May 30th) tackles social taboos, political injustices and personal passions of the band.
It was recorded in just 11 days with producer Al Clay (Pixies, A, Reef, Stereophonics) at Parkgate Studios, Hastings.
The band have toured ferociously over the past 18 months, playing over 125 gigs including shows with Rachel Stamp, Powder, Ariel X, Colour of Fire and the Kerrang! Best of British Tour with The Ga Gas and Hurricane Party.
2005 has already seen them embark on support tours with The Reputation, The Buzzcocks and Trashlight Vision following four ram packed March shows at South by South West in Austin, Texas. Johnny Panic play the Download Festival on June 12th and are one of the headline acts during the XFM sponsored Bud Rising festival in London on May 21st.
