Single release date: 12th April 2004
Everyone's favourite ex-jailbird Libertine returns with his first single since his release.
Roping in old chum Wolfman, Doherty sauntered off to Goth paradise Whitby to write the magnificent 'For Lovers' and 'Back From The Dead' (featuring fellow resident of Albion, Carl Barat).
The surroundings have certainly had an effect giving the songs an epic, weary beauty that is a far cry from the speed-fuelled inner-city mayhem of his full time project.
Sad, lovelorn and showcasing a new found maturity, this is Doherty's finest work to date.
Maybe prison was a good thing.
