Release date: May 3rd 2004
Three brothers (two of whom are, oddly, called Eva and Lillian the other, even stranger, named Bosh), production by the uber-legend Steve Albini and a darkly foreboding look that makes BRMC look like Day-Glo munchkins.
Their moniker: The Living Things - the newest rock'n'roll upstarts to spit, scream and generally thrash music into submission.
Their debut album 'Black Skies In Broad Daylight' is the kind of hook-laden rifforama of noise that so rarely gets made properly, but The Living Things have managed it.
From the opener 'Bombs Below' through to the anthemic 'End Gospel', awesome first single 'I Owe' and beyond this is a head splitting beast of an album guaranteed to soundtrack hedonistic debauchery throughout 2004.
