Katy Perry and FERGIE made it ladies night at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan on Saturday night (30May09) by scooping the biggest honours.

Perry scooped Best Pop Video for I Kissed A Girl and delighted the crowd at the Saitama Super Arena by donning a sushi-themed one-piece bathing suit and kimono for a sizzling performance of Hot N Cold.

Nelly and Fergie walked away with the Best Collaboration Video honour for Party People.

Best Hip Hop Video went to Teriyaki Boyz for Zock On!, which features Pharrell Williams & Busta Rhymes, while Japanese act Exile's Ti Amo (Chapter 2) landed the group a double win for Video of the Year and Best Group Video.

Black Eyed Peas, Ciara and rockers Green Day also performed at the annual music awards ceremony.
