After scooping the coveted ‘Best New Festival’ award in 2006 End Of The Road has progressed without comprising on size, detail or atmosphere. With a capacity of just 5000 the intimate boutique event is a stickler for the small details which make the festival special.
Situated in the stunning Larmer Tree Gardens, Dorset the three-day soiree has the ideal backdrop to complement the eclectic collection of musical delicacies that grace the four stages. All tastes are catered for with folk, rock, pop and eccentric experimental acts are hand-picked to perform. Artists are also given longer sets than usual to encourage artistic freedom.
The festival is corporate-free with organisers deciding to keep their ‘creative freedom’ and focus people’s attention on the acts rather than selling a brand. This means secret shows, artist workshops and DJ sets form acts as well as a host of surprises over the weekend.
End Of The Road also includes an array of organic, local and fair-trade food, good beer, environmental and sustainability schemes as well as 'caring and well-mannered staff'. There will also be a Scandinavian tilt with the event showcasing up-and-coming Nordic talent, Swedish snacks and Viking games.
