“But there’s nothing to do around here!” – Possibly the most common phrase used by teenagers apart from the grunts that denote yes and no. But one council in Hampshire has decided to give them something to do – hold their own festival!
The event, which is aimed for 14-20 year olds, is held at Butser Hill in Queen Elizabeth Country Park on the South Downs provides a platform for local talent as well as hosting some of Britain’s up-and-coming bands.
Last year Elliot Minor and Furthest Drive Home performed at the one stage event with alternative entertainment like bungee runs and didgeridoo workshops onsite too. The festival is only a tenner, so kids start saving your paper-round money.
