The Eurovision Song Contest 2004
The biggest music event of the year, the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 is on Saturday 15th May, and you can view it live, right here on Tiscali.
Terry Wogan will be providing his usual irreverent commentary on the proceedings which takes place this year in Istanbul, Turkey following their country's success at last year's contest in Latvia.
Following Jemini's historic nil point at last year's competition which was watched by over 8 million in the UK and 160 million worldwide, this year's selection process to find the UK entry was totally revamped.
Over 7 million viewers watched 6 acts compete (televised on the BBC) to represent the UK at Eurovision 2004 and voted for former Fame Academy student James Fox to win.
All hope now rests with James to restore national pride in the competition. James will be singing "Hold Onto Our Love" written by music industry pros, Gary Miller and Tim Woodcock.
Tim's credits include "Guilty" by Blue, tracks for Atomic Kitten, S Club 7 and Toploader. Gary's work includes tracks for David Bowie, Kylie Minogue and Lionel Ritchie.
This years' contest is unique in the history of Eurovision as a record breaking number of countries take part, beginning with The Semi-Final on Wednesday 12th May.
The top 10 countries then go through to the Grand Final on Saturday 15th May and join 16 other countries that have a guaranteed place in the final (including the UK).
Brand new for 2004 and for the first time ever viewers can access lyrics to all the Eurovision song entrants through BBC interactive which can be accessed through digital satellite, cable and Freeview.
