Watch the video to The Alps 'Last Dance' single below:
The Alps release the single 'Last Dance' on 20th February 2006 through Tough Cookie/Elusive Music.
Not only are we hugely excited for the band, but, by watching the video you are witnessing the results of Tiscali's very own Pop Video competition. That's right, the winner of the competition got to make the accompanying video to this very song - and what a video it is. The creation and completion of this video marks Tiscali's true committment to emerging musical and film talent.

This single follows on from The Alps debut single 'World At War' which was released August 2005 and became Gigwise.com's 'Single of the week' "A tale of yearning for that elusive loved one, it's surprisingly optimistic and stylish stuff."
The track was also supported by XFM and Radio One's Steve Lamacq and Zane Lowe.
'Last Dance' is a song about the ending of a clandestine relationship, in which the parting lovers contemplate a last night of passion!!
A bit 'Last Tango In Paris' says singer Daniel Heptinstall. 'Last dance' is also the soundtrack on two of this years new computer games FINAL FIGHT (capcom) and FIFA STREET (EA).
January 2006 has already seen the band play dates in Italy, the result of an early Alps demo track 'The Shining' becoming a hit on the Milan club scene. They have also picked up a following in The Ukraine.
Heptinstall recently showcased his first musical ;The Musical Melodrama - Camilla; (Captive at Kentigern Court) in Romania. In which he wrote original script and score.
"It follows the trials of the beautiful Lady Camilla, who is forced into marrying Sir Peegram, a beast of a man, in order to dissolve her father's large gambling debts. Set in Olde England, the play involves highwaymen, pistols, love, death, laughs, tears, betrayal, and heroism? You get the idea?" he explains.
The bands highlight of 2005 was being invited to play backstage at the Reading Festival Tiscali Sessions along with the likes of The Subways, Graham Coxon and The Futureheads.
