Bryn Terfel, the Welsh baritone who is the biggest-selling current opera singer in the world, will be releasing his long-awaited new disc Simple Gifts this week.

Bryn has enjoyed consistent popularity ever since winning the Lieder Prize at Cardiff Singer of the World in 1989. He has since stormed into the pop album charts at number 6 with his last album Bryn. He spent an astounding 73 weeks in the classical album charts and sold well over 2 million CDs worldwide.

His new album includes a variety of sacred, spiritual songs of inspiration, and features guest artists Aled Jones, John Williams (guitar) and fellow-baritone Simon Keenlyside.
