Tiscali is getting behind the campaign and will be showing the Action Aid advert during the live webcast of the Reading festival. ActionAid youth campaigner Brendan O'Donnell said: "The G8 meeting in Scotland made some small steps in fighting poverty, but did nothing to combat unfair trade. ActionAid tent the line-up at Reading will include it's very own chill-out area with comfy sofas, table tennis, table football and giant Jenga.
Life-size punked-up world leaders will feature on posters, postcards and a short film to hammer home the need for trade justice, while supporters can have their very own spikes and spray paint punk makeover.
The World Trade Organisation (WTO) meets in Hong Kong in December 2005. In the past its trade rules have been rigged in favour of rich countries and multinational companies.
