Watch a video of The Foo Fighters' single 'Best Of You' below.
10 glorious years of the Foo Fighters, 4 albums and 2 million tours, give or take the odd show/festival (from the most hardworking band on the planet,) a couple of personnel changes, countless incredible memories and the rest they say is history!
And to celebrate this monumental milestone, the Foo Fighters will be releasing their finest work to date... the excellent 'In Your Honor', a double album one side rock and the other acoustic, re-affirming that the Foo Fighters are still one of the greatest bands around... if ever that status was in doubt.
'In Your Honor' is one helluva of a rock beast, easily their heaviest album yet, rippling uncontrollably like a tank of starving piranhas, 'In Your Honor' is laden with the Foo's delightful signature hooks and sufficiently dripping with their trademark, snarling melodies.
Heres what Grohl had to say about 'In your Honor': 'When someone comes up to you and asks which Led Zeppelin album they should buy, you should say 'Physical Graffiti, and, in 20 years, when your kid comes up to you and asks which Foo Fighters album he or she should buy, I want you to say 'In Your Honor'.
And then of course there is the Acoustic album. You are in for the shock of your life, I kid you not! Genuinely a work of sheer, unadulterated, pure beauty. It even boasts a bossa nova with Norah Jones, a track written and sung by Taylor, with Dave on drums and John Paul Jones guests on a couple of tracks too, giving it that extra dimension... what more could you possibly want?
The first single from 'In Your Honor' is the dazzling 'Best Of You,' sure to become a rock anthem, spanning the boundaries of hysteria at this year's Reading Festival... 'Best Of You,' is laced with slabs of oversized rock riffage and reinforced with a smouldering guitar frenzy... amongst other things.
