All about this artist
Biography:
Playing a breakneck fusion of metalcore and screamo, this Buffalo, New York-based US band was formed in 1999 by Keith Buckley (vocals), Andrew Williams (guitar), Jordan Buckley (guitar), Aaron Ratajczak (bass) and Sean Hughes (drums). The following year's Burial Plot Bidding War EP was released on the independent label Good Fellow Records, and earned the band good notices on the hardcore circuit.
A new contract with the respected independent label Ferret Music followed, and with new drummer Michael Novak on board the band released Last Night In Town in 2001. The album tempered with the metalcore blueprint to include moments of melodic subtlety amid the chaotic guitars and screamed vocals.
Further line-up changes saw the departure of Ratajczak and new bass player Stephen Micciche making his debut on 2003's Hot Damn! The album revealed a band again willing to broaden their musical horizons, with some southern-styled guitar rock and conventional vocals thrown into the mix.
The album helped propel Every Time I Die to the forefront of the post-hardcore scene, and a series of high-profile festival appearances cemented their reputation. Kevin Falk filled the problematic bass slot on 2005's Gutter Phenomenon, which for the first time saw the band treading water.
More bass players came and went as the band toured in support of the album, and by the release of 2007?s The Big Dirty they had opted to continue in the studio as a quartet.
