Biography:
This female R&B duo, comprising Charisse Rose (born New York, USA) and Cassandra Lucas (b. New York, USA), first established itself in 1994 with the minor US hits "Stroke You Up" (written and produced by R. Kelly) and "Foolin' Around'.
Both singles were included on the New York, USA-based group's self-titled debut of that year. Changing Faces eventually sold half a million copies, and reached number 1 on Billboard"s Top R&B Albums chart.
The carefully crafted follow-up, All Day All Night, featuring production by Kelly and Bryce Wilson, was eventually released in 1997. This time there was a higher quota of ballad material, as opposed to the silky R&B dance rhythms of the debut.
The new style was exemplified by songs such as "G. H. E. T. T. O. U. T" (another Kelly composition), the first single released from the album, which dealt with male infidelity from a female perspective. A cover version of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" was also included.
On the subject of this new polemic, Rose commented to the press: "We wanted to show people, especially young women, that they can stay true to themselves and still be real. " Kelly was on hand once again to help the duo record Visit Me, which also featured contributions from Joe on the single "That Other Woman".
