Biography:

This Spanish girl duo had a UK number 1 in 1977 with the disco-orientated "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie". Sung by Maria Mendiola and Mayte Mateus, it was written and produced by the German team of Frank Dostal (ex-lead singer of the Rattles) and Rolf Soja, backed by studio musicians.

There was a UK Top 10 follow-up, "Sorry I'm A Lady", but after this the group faded from view as they were unable to progress or change with the advent of new wave. Their particular brand of discopop soon appeared jaded and dated.
