We can all be envious of David Beckham - he earns an estimated £6 million a year, and that is before adding on the new £100,000-a-week pay deal he has just signed with Manchester United. And he is married to former Spice Girl Victoria who has earned a considerable amount of cash in her own right. According to The Sunday Times Beckham is Britain's richest sports star under the age of 30 when his fortune is added to his wife Victoria's, giving a total of £35 million. He'll probably be earning in the region of £10m next year. So where does it all go?
House
The Beckhams own a £2.5m home dubbed "Beckingham Palace" in Hertfordshire. According to reports, Brooklyn's room has a domed roof with built-in fibre-optic stars. There's a room dedicated to Audrey Hepburn with wooden floors, a very romantic four poster bed, a tented ceiling with white lace, pictures of Audrey Hepburn everywhere, a silver chandelier and a black and white tartan bathroom. There's also a leopard-print bedroom with a mirrored ceiling and a black and gold snooker room. They are also spending around £250,000 on additions to the garden, including a pavilion, a lake, three gazebos, flower beds and trees.
In addition, for when he is needed for training or it is close to match days Beckham has had a flat in a favourite spot for millionaires Alderley Edge in Manchester - not too far from the Manchester United Ground. But he is now moving out and buying an £850,000 four-bedroomed mock Georgian mansion, complete with security cameras in Wilmslow, Cheshire. It's a few doors down the road from his boss Alex Ferguson's home.
Cars
His most recent purchase is a £166,000 Bentley Arnage with a 6.75-litre V8 engine and leather baby seats. It will take him about 10 days work to be able to afford another one. It will sit in the garage alongside his £110,00 Ferrari 360 Spyder, an armour-plated Mercedes S500 with bullet proof windows which costs an estimated £150,000 and not to mention the BMWX5 four-wheel drive, a Lincoln Navigator mega jeep, a Chrysler Grand Voyager people mover and a couple of other Ferraris and an Aston Martin DB7. He managed to escape conviction for a speeding fine claiming he was evading paparazzi and recently crashed his Merc. And with all those cars he has trouble keeping on top of his responsibilities. David Beckham drove his Lincoln Navigator four-by-four vehicle to and from his son's third birthday party at the Film Works in Manchester for a private exclusive screening of Monsters Inc with an out of date tax disc.

Clothes and accessories
Renowned for his sarong and Victoria's thong joke Beckham has an eye for fashion and has been topped several polls of the most fashionable men. This is all the more surprising as Beckham has said the flares favoured by former England boss Kevin Keegan during the 1970s were responsible for his early passion for fashion. He is often suited and booted but does like casual clothes and says: "If I see something I like I just wear it and don't care what other people think."
Among his favourites are Gucci, Prada, Diesel and Dolce & Gabbana not to mention his earning around £1 million for modelling Police sunglasses. However, he doesn't have to spend that much money on clothes as he gets sent loads of stuff free.
He does sport the odd diamond earring worth around £7,000, a £50,000 wedding ring and a limited edition white-gold Panerai watch.
And of course he has the Adidas sports-influenced collection he helped design, known as the DB range. It includes hooded tops and T-shirts in red, white and blue to represent his role. He also has a deal with Marks & Spencers for a range of clothes for boys. He said "I want to help create the kind of clothes which I would have wanted to wear when I was younger." The range should be available in stores from September.
However along with the sarong and the mohican haircut he does make the odd mistake. According to The Sun David Beckham was shocked to learn the hooded top he wore for his 26th birthday photocall featured a picture of Nazi Adolf Eichmann. He wore the top sent by a US fan as he posed at his in-laws' Hertfordshire home. Half-Jewish Beckham says he'll never wear it again.

Hair and grooming
David Beckham is as famous for his haircuts as he is for his footballing skills. He shaved off his mohican because he didn't want kids who copy him getting into trouble at school. Hairdressers also want him to abandon his skinhead look because although he pays a fortune to have it done - he spent £300 flying hairdresser Tyler from London to Manchester to give him a crop - others claim takings have plummeted since he opted for the low-maintenance style as men are buying clippers and doing it themselves or getting their wives or girlfriends to do it for them.
Beckham has also spent a few quid in his time on tattoos - he sports a guardian angel across his back and has his son's name written on his lower back and his wife's name in Hindu along the inside of his left arm.
Food & Drink
Despite the supposed glamour and luxury lifestyle the Beckhams claim to be a pair of homebodies - preferring dinner at home to the party lifestyle and can often be seen shopping in Marks & Spencer. According to Victoria David does most of the cooking, but he says he likes her lasagne.
According to the Daily Mirror Victoria's favourite wine is reported to be cheap German plonk Liebfraumilch. Liebfraumilch costs about £2.99 and is renowned for its sickly sweet taste. Victoria asked specifically for the drink during a visit to Hertfordshire restaurant The Straw Hat. Staff had to buy bottles from a local off licence to please the couple, the paper said.
Art
The couple have commissioned a 20ft bronze statue of themselves with son Brooklyn, according to reports. It's said the £100,000 sculpture will stand in the grounds of their home in Hertfordshire. It is being designed by artist Frances Segelman who has previously produced sculptures of Prince Philip, William Hague and Denise Van Outen.
David also commissioned artist Robert Davies to paint a picture of him at the moment he was sent off against Argentina in the last World Cup. Another painting they have commissioned was a joint portrait which shows him as a handsome prince and her as Cinderella, according to reports. The giant image covers a wall in Brooklyn's room at their new mansion.
They also have commissioned an artist from the College of Arms to create their own coat of arms to adorn their mansion. This was clearly visible at the wedding when they had their initials entwined with the coat of arms on the thrones on their special day.
Toys
David also indulges his sons at Christmas. He bought Brooklyn a new £80 JCB bike but insisted that it was painted Manchester United red instead of the standard yellow colour it came in.
Mike Doolan, who owns the shop in Middleton, Manchester said: "I couldn't believe it when the Beckhams pulled up in a Mercedes. They were looking for a bike for Brooklyn and I showed them the yellow JCB Junior.
"They really liked it but didn't think the colour suited the son of a Red Devil. So I arranged for the bike to be professionally sprayed red. They also wanted it customised with Brooklyn's name and the number 7."
Doting dad Becks added one final touch - paying £3.50 for a Thunderbirds bell attached to the handle bars.
So if you had Beckham's money what would you spend it on?
