Tiscali's partner Envirofone, ensures that mobiles are sorted, graded, and where required refurbished. If the phones meet the right criteria they will be packaged and sold to buyers around the world where they will be sold and used again.

This approach helps conserve natural resources, prevents mobiles going to landfill and causing poisonous leachate and helps make affordable information technology such as mobile phones available to aid the development of local developing economies.
If for any reason the phones recovered are not suitable for reuse, these will be end of life recycled. This involves the segregation of reusable components, separation of recyclable plastics and metals, and finally the shredding of these materials for reuse as a new material in a new product such as the new Nokia (TM) phone.
