Norton Security 2009: Improvements Reviewed
Norton's maker Symantec has concentrated on improving performance. We tested it and found that Norton Internet Security 2009 is more responsive yet far less intrusive and resource consuming than previous versions.

- When running, NIS 2009 only used 7MB of memory, preserving resources that might be needed by other programs;

- In silent mode, the program will not download any new updates;
- There are regular four-hourly checks for information about new viruses;
