Tiscali - TKonnect - Uninstall

For users of Windows 98, 2000, ME, NT and XP:

1. On your desktop, click Start, and Run.
2. Type 'command' and press enter
3. Type 'cd\' and press enter
4. Ensure that the DOS box displays the drive letter that your system is installed on (usually C)
5. Type 'cd progra~1' and press enter
6. Type 'cd tiscali' and press enter
7. Type 'cd tkonnect' and press enter
8. Type 'tkonnect.exe uninstall' and press enter
9. Type 'exit' and enter.
You will be back to your desktop with the dialler uninstalled.

To check that the dialler has been uninstalled successfully. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete (and select task manager if you are using NT4 or Win2000 and select the processes tab). If you have a listing for tkonnect the uninstall failed.

If you have Windows 95, Tiscali recommends that you call our support team on 0845 660 1001 for guidance on uninstalling TKonnect. (Calls charged at local rate).

Manual instructions are given below (for experienced users only):

Instructions for Windows 95 users:

1. Start > Run > Type regedit and Click OK
2. Select Registry from the menu, and then select export registry file.
3. Ensure that all is selected from the export range and then save the as old in c:
3. Expand H Key Current User
4. Expand Software
5. Expand Microsoft
6. Expand Windows
7. Expand Current version
8. Select Run
9. On the right hand side you will see a list of entries, highlight tkonnect by single clicking on it. Now right click on it and select delete. When prompted click OK
10. Close the registry editor.
