I am married with my own home and 3 children, but she still helps me out whenever, even when at her lowest, days when she cant even wash her own hair for pain. I want to let her know how very special she is, her name is Anita Wyatt, thanks!

My mum is 79 years old and runs my children to school and collects them every day. She does most of my house work and ironing by the time I get home from work.
She then goes to her 84 year old sister in laws and gets her shopping and medication.
She also runs about for her neighbours getting shopping etc. I hope I can do all this when I'm 79
Her name is Beattie and she is one in a million
J Marriott

She's been there to listen and help plan my wedding despite having a tough year of medical tests and operations
My mum, Edith Adams, Age (21 plus VAT and some!)
Laura Adams

How do I begin to tell you how great my mum is? If I told you everything I'd take up pages and pages so I'll keep it short and sweet. My mum Ivy is 68 years young & over the past few years her health has deteriorated a bit and she can't do half as much as she'd like to do. What she can still do though is offer all her support, encouragement, guidance and wisdom to me and my sister. Without her, I wouldn't have had a clue where to begin with my own children and I'm proud to say my own children absolutely adore her - in their eyes she can do no wrong. She's taught me so much over the years - not just the basics like manners but also about how to help people, to have compassion and to go the extra mile for someone - something she still tries to do today, despite not being as well as she used to be. Quite simply she's fantastic - my sister and I love her to bits and all her grandchildren think she's fantastic. If anyone deserves flowers for a year it's got to be my mum
Mrs Gill Bell

My Mum adopted me when I was 9 days old, and since that day she has been a mother to me in every possible sense of the word: supportive, disciplined at times, but above all, an exemplary example of what motherhood really does mean, and I am and always will be, eternally grateful. Thank goodness for me that my mum loved me from the moment she pushed back my bonnett at the mother and baby home and, despite the mass of red hair, welcomed me into her life as her daughter - I couldn't have wished for a better mum and I love her deeply

Dear Tiscali,
20 words, hardly enough in the circumstances.
Leg broken by a reversing car,
Now fighting hospital acquired MRSA,
Still cheerfully INDEPENDENT,
And only 93.
Surely a wonderful Mum

Geoff, eldest son of three

My mum is so special because she is so strong and is always willing to put others first, she just lost her gran who she was very close to, instead of feeling sorry and crying she was so strong and helped other family members to arrange the funeral and my greatgran's estate, she is still helping her my with the estate of my greatgrandfather who died last august.
I think she'd like to win because she loves flowers and i love her lots.
Bobby her son

For Rosemary Peerless
Always there for me
With open ears and support to lend
Shared moments we have together
She's forever my friend

Kay Peerless

Ode to my mother
Like the moon, the stars, the seas and flowers What would we do without our mothers?
Olympia

My mum is always there for me, even though I haven't always been there for her as much as I should have
If she were to win this, it would be a way of making up for all the flowers I should have sent, but didn't, because I was too involved in my own problems
She let me come back home after my marriage broke up, and dried my tears and listened to me when I was sad
She, herself, has been through a bad few years lately; My granddad died and she took my grandma in with us and cared for her. Never complained or grumbled while Gran slowly developed Alzheimer's, lost things, couldn't make conversation, and forgot her own daughter and grand-daughter
Two years ago Mum had a big operation in which she nearly died. I just took it for granted that she'd be fine, and I should have given her more support. She needed me, and I was too wrapped up in my own troubles. I regret this so much, and want to make it up to her
There's no way that I can go back in time and dry the tears that she has cried because of me
Helen Robinson

Complaints what complaints,
Who's first? always you
Thinks of others before herself
Would rather suffer in silence than inconvienence you
