Lip balms tried and tested - Tiscali Women

So what's the secret to beautiful kissable and soft lips? We've tried & tested some of the most luxurious balms and salves on the market.

Make : Aloe Lips
Texture: Perfect I was really impressed. Glides on really easily and is really absorbent.
Effect: Ideal. Lovely effect that isn't too greasy, too drying too much - it's just right.
Smell: A lovely mild fruity fragrance that I loved - prefect all year round.
Ease of application: really easy to use in its stick format - my personal preference for lip balms.
Kissability: Ideal as not too greasy - simply gives your lips moisture making it ready for that big kiss.

Rating: 9/10
Additional: Perfect for use all year round - great for winter as it's moisturising and great for summer when you need that bit of rehydration.

Make: Burts Bees - Pomegranate lip balm
Texture: Silky, good absorption, but not great if you have really dry lips. More like a day-to-day lip balm rather than a rescue lip balm.
Application Easy to apply - however it's not that smooth so I had to keep adding it on to my lips and I found that seemed to defeat the object.
Effect: It does the job and is fine for occasional use. Not the best to use before applying lipstick as it can be drying.
Smell: Smells great - this would have to be its best quality - oh and of course because it's made from natural goodness.
Kissability: Smooth - non-sticky.

Application Easy to apply - however, I choose to use my finger as the lip balm is tinted and it's not easily controllable when applied via the tube.
Effect: Gives your lips an added colour boost and shine. great for added colour during the day. Perfect for holidays with your tan, especially as it has an SPF of 10.
Smell: Smells nice and would suit all ages, not just the younger ones.
Kissability: Smooth - non-sticky.

Texture: Soft and viscous.
Application Comes in a cute portable tub perfect for dabbing into when needed.
Effect: Smells sweet and gives your lips an added colour boost and shine.
Smell: Cherry.
Kissability: Great! Lips are glossy and will taste yummy from the receiving end.
