Scalp Soufflé: Rescue tight, dry scalps

Scalp Souffle - rescue tight, dry scalps

Scalp Soufflé: Rescue tight, dry scalps

My scalp is tight and my hair flat and droopy. I was in serious need of something to liven up my hair and soothe my sore, dry scalp. With the colder elements attacking all parts of my person that is exposed, I was delighted to experience the Scalp Soufflé at Webster Whiteman's trendy west end salon.

Scalp Soufflé isn't just a rescue treatment, it's 30 minutes of sheer yummy pampering as well. I was given a heated lavendar neck pillow to rest across my shoulders whilst I lay my head back in to the sink ready for the treatment to begin.

Stage one: Exfoliate and massage

First up was the scalp exfoliation. Delightful! I am happy to spend time buffing over my body and getting read of dead skin cells, but I had never thought of exfoliating my scalp. The product used was gentle and although did the job did not feel at all abrasive. My therapist spent a lot of time ensuring that I was comfortable and giving me a fantastic head and scalp massage. Bliss - this is exactly what I needed after a hard days work. I thought that would be my only massage but there was more to follow...

Stage two: Hair masque and then shampoo and then massage

After rinsing out the exfoliator, next came the hair and scalp masque. Packed with essential oils, the mask was left to soak into my scalp to nourish and condition. I'm still relaxed with my lavender heated pillow and starting to feel quite drowsy after the head massage and the many lovely smells coming from the products being used. The masque needed to be shampooed out and then, more pampering to come - another head massage.

Stage three: Hair repair and massage

The last step was the hair repair, a wonderful treatment to repair damaged tresses and add back some vitality. Again this was followed by a massage, my third and final one of the treatment. But this still wasn't it... I was then taken to have newly repaired tresses dried any styled. All this for just £30!

The result

The end results was a scalp that felt much more relaxed, less tight and thoroughly moisturised and cleansed. Also, shining locks that didn't look half as dull and lay smooth and light rather than dull and floppy.

Stress and the change of seasons can tighten your scalp which isn't good for your hair follicles. If your hair is thin or simply not behaving itself, definitely book in for this treat. Or, if you've just got back from holidays or have a tendency to get a dry itchy scalp, then the treatment is perfect for a quick fix and relief.
