The Diamond Geezer experience

I'm generally an old fashioned sort of chap when it comes to looking after my skin. Soap, water, flannel, done! Sometimes I've snuck a bit of moisturiser on the crow's feet when I know that I'm going to be laughing or smiling for a couple of hours but thankfully those occasions are few and far between.

My sallow, grey complexion meant that I was prime candidate at Tiscali Towers to try out a nifty treatment called Diamond Tome. Aimed specifically at men it is provided by Court House Clinics, a company with six clinics dotted around England and a clinic in Dublin. I visited their clinic just off London's Harley Street, where the great and the good prefer to be poked and prodded.

The treatment

On arrival I was greeted by a lovely consultant who did an assessment of my skin care routine (didn't take long), explained how the treatment worked and also gave me advice on how I could improve my skin care routine to get that warm healthy glow. I was then sat in the treatment chair and made comfortable. My face was washed with deep cleansing lotion then a fine diamond-tipped wand was vigorously rubbed around the face and neck while the integral vacuum sucks away the dead skin. This was a peculiar sensation initially; slightly scratchy but I soon became used to it and it wasn't uncomfortable. Following that a soothing moisturiser was rubbed in to my face. A relaxing hand massage was included as a little treat while the cleansing lotion worked its magic.

For a couple of hours after the treatment my face was a little flushed but come the next day that had settled down and I had a noticeable healthy glow. Since then I've discovered that more people want to talk to me at parties and I can now laugh and smile without being betrayed by crows feet. Like most things faces always look better after a good scrub and a spit and polish.
