I was told years ago by a spiritualist that my maternal grandmother always watches over me, especially in times of distress. He said that she looks after my flowers. This did not make any sense to me at all as I never met my grandmother and as I`m not exactly `green fingered`, I didn`t have a lot of flowers. About a month or so after I had been to the spititualist, I was relating what he had said to a friend of mine when I realised that the flowers my landlord had given to me six weeks previously (on moving in) had no water.
I was in a rush when he gave them to me and completely forgot to put water in the vase! The flowers were still fresh! They lasted for about another four weeks before I had to throw them away. It got me thinking about what the spiritualist had said. I have often smelt jasmine around the house, which I have discovered was my grandmother's favorite scent. It is so reassuring to know that the spirit does live on.
