Readers' Stories New Age Tiscali

I live on the Isle of Wight. Around the corner from me there is a small, old church called the 'Holy Cross' and there is a path (lady's walk) which leads down to a 'T turning'. It takes you up to the top of a golf course and by turning left it takes you to the beach. I was riding my bike away from the church and up to the top of the golf course.

It was a winter evening and so it was very dark but up ahead I could just make out a tallish grey figure. I turned the angle of my bike light up but I still couldn't make it out for it wasn't strong enough. The figure was standing dead still, which way it was facing, I'm not sure but then it started moving across the path (to the right) straight into the line of trees. After the figure had passed through the trees I could just make it out as it continued on across the golf course. I was quite scared so I turned my bike around and rode back home quickly. When I looked back the figure had gone.

I returned the next day but there was no mark or anything to show that there might have been someone or something there. There was no sign of someone going through the trees. If they had they would have had to hack through them for it is so thick and the area is surrounded by wire but I know I saw the figure drift through this area. To this day I don't know what it was.
