Readers' Stories New Age Tiscali

Floating footballs

It was the first night of our family holiday in Wanavach caravan site, a quaint little town called Bryncrug. My friends and I had been out until late playing hide and seek in the dark. At around 11:00pm we all decided to go to bed for the night and departed to our caravans.

My bedroom was the middle bedroom in the centre of the caravan next to the small kitchen. I lay huddled under the bed clothes thinking of the games I had been playig earlier, when I heard something sweeping across the roof. At first, I thought nothing of it, it was probably a bird.

But a few seconds after that I heard something sweep past the window, which I was just a few inches away from. I froze in my bed and my brow became very wet with sweat.

Although frightened, I felt determined to see what was going on outside. So I gently pulled back the flowery curtains and to my horror two footballs, which had been left there in the day after our games of football, seemed to be floating about! The balls were definatly sincrinised and the same distance apart as if being held by someone or something.

Thinking that I was dreaming, I put it down to the wind but the sincrinisation of the two balls and the fact that the night was calm, suggested otherwise. I lay back in my bed, covered by the duvet in the same possition all night watching the window with fear.

The next morning I got up and went to my friends caravan. There were the balls in the same position as they were last night when they were dropped...
