Readers' Stories New Age Tiscali

Several years ago, I was employed as a night security officer for a large safe manufacturers in Borehamwood. One night, I was patrolling the building with my girlfriend and was just checking the upstairs offices when I heard what sounded like a group of small children singing a nursery song.

The tune was coming from somewhere in the roof but when I went to check it all I could feel was a cold wind pass me. I found nothing in the roof space and so went downstairs to check there. Once again, I felt the same draft but being an old building I thought nothing of it. As there was nothing out of the ordinary inside, I checked outside where I found a police patrol car just turning into the car park. I went to un-padlock the gates only to find them already unlocked. I explained all this to the police officer - who seemed a little amused by it all and off he went on his way. I can only explain this to be spirits from a building that was previously on the site. At the time though, this was definately a strange encounter, it really did sound like there were children in the building.
